We have made it our mission for over 38 years to create a safe haven for dancers of all ages to grow, discover, express, united, and explore. We have made many friends through the years and are thankful for the experiences that owning a dance studio has given us.
We thank our family for all their love and undying support, our fabulous alumni who remind us why we continue to do what we do, and our staff and dance family for believing in us. This would not be possible without the ongoing support from our wonderful local community. Our studio and dancers greatly appreciate the continuous support of our studio and performances.
A special thank you to the amazing parents who support their children’s dreams. Your encouragement, transportation, and endless support make everything possible. Thank you for your trust in allowing yoru children to dance at our studio. We have worked hard to build Dance With Kim into a place where dance families can be proud of their many accomplishments and the self-confidence they have acquired through the years. We feel very fortunate to have put together such an outstanding team. We pride ourselves in our highly qualified dance educators for all levels of study. Our teaching staff continues their education by attending seminars and workshops on a regular basis as to provide our students with the utmost professional dance education and sense of confidence and achievement.
Kim Semmel
Owner/Artistic Director
The Dance with Kim studio has been growing with the distinctive energy and spirit of its dancers, teachers and staff. An award-winning choreographer, Ms. Kim’s greatest passion is working in the classroom and building an organization which promotes kindness, teamwork and unity. She hopes that each dancer walks away from their experience at DWK with confidence, self-esteem, memories and most importantly friendship. She has done speaking engagements for fellow dance teachers and business owners and was featured in Dance Life Teacher Magazine about marriage and running a successful dance studio. Ms. Kim continues to further her education in business and dance by attending various certification programs and seminars. She recently completed certifications in progressing ballet technique under the direction Marie Walton, Acrobatic Arts under the direction of Mandy Yip and the International Ballet Barre & Fitness Association. She attends the Dance Teacher summit in NYC regularly. She is certified through Dance Masters of America. Ms. Kim hopes to keep the dance program at DWK always progressive, innovative and enriching for all students. Ms. Kim resides in Palmerton with her husband Mike and fur babies Odin & Freyja. Their son Dan is a graduate of Millersville University and their daughter Brittany is a graduate of the University of The Arts.
Brittany Semmel Pry
Co-Owner/Artistic Director
Brittany is a professional dance artist from Lehighton, PA. She is a Lehigh Valley Performing Arts Graduate of 2013 and a proud graduate of The University of The Arts in Philadelphia. During her college career Brittany has been cast in pieces choreographed by Milton Myers (Alvin Ailey & Julliard), Wayne St. David (Choreographer), Douglas Becker (Joffrey Ballet), Anne White (Pennsylvania Ballet), Jesse Zaritt (Shen Wei Dance Arts Company) and Robert Burden Jr. (Philadelphia Tap Master). She also danced professionally on the Philadelphia Yellow Jacket’s inaugural dance team the Honey Bees. In 2017 she obtained her certification in Progressive Ballet Technique and Acrobatic Arts. Brittany is a faculty member at Dance with Kim and was named Artistic Director in 2017. She is currently on staff at Northeast Performing Arts. Miss Brittany is excited to share her lifelong passion with the current and next generation of dancers and hopes to keep her mothers’ dream at DWK alive by always progressing, being innovative, and enriching the lives of all of her students. Ms. Brittany resides in Northampton County with her husband Harry, and 3 fur babies Beaker, Ziggy, and Lucy.

The Dance With Kim LLC teacher program is made up of a valuable group of students with years of dance training. Ms. Kim chooses these special students for their leadership qualities and their spirit and love for dance.
